CONTRACT

Our Sires & Dams are in excellent health.  We will not breed a dog known to have health problems.  Our dogs receive all vet-recommended & required vaccines and monthly heartworm, flea/tick prevention.  You may contact our veterinarian for reference on our program. Please refer to the “Frequently Asked Questions” page of our website for tips on raising a healthy, low-maintenance bulldog (www.dogbluffbulldogges.com).  Your puppy is HEALTHY when he leaves our home.  Our puppies are sold as family pets, not for breeding; we recommend spay/neuter at age 6-7 months.  Puppy Adoption includes: Wormed weekly from age 2 weeks onward, Tail Dock (unless screw-tail), Veterinarian Exam at age 5 weeks, Immunizations Current, Eating dry dog food independently, Socialized with our family and our adult dogs.

WE DO NOT SELL PUPPIES ON A TRIAL BASIS!  Please evaluate your home setting before considering adoption, as puppies need stability and consistency in order to thrive.  No refunds will be given if you must re-home your new puppy.  It is YOUR responsibility to make sure that your other dog(s) will accept a new puppy.

PROTECT YOUR PUPPY:  YOUR PUPPY IS AT RISK UNTIL PUP HAS RECEIVED ALL VET-RECOMMENDED VACCINES.  Any location that welcomes pets can harbor diseases.  We recommend obedience training, but advise that you WAIT UNTIL YOUR PUPPY HAS COMPLETED ALL VACCINES before taking your puppy into public places that welcome other animal traffic.  If you follow the immunization outline on your puppy’s health record from Dog Bluff, your puppy should be finished with three (3) rounds of vaccines by age 12 weeks, and should have the rabies vaccine no later than age 16 weeks.  Please follow your veterinarian’s advice and instruction, and please ask about the canine influenza vaccine – this is a dangerous disease to your dog, regardless of the dog’s age.

SECURITY DEPOSITS are NON-REFUNDABLE, regardless of the situation.  ADOPTION FEE BALANCE MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY THE TIME PUP IS AGE 6 WEEKS.  Any transport-related expenses MUST be taken care of IN ADVANCE of pup leaving Dog Bluff.  NOTE:  When your puppy leaves Dog Bluff property, he becomes your responsibility, whether you pick him up or a transporter brings him home.

ADOPTION DAY:  Dog Bluff puppies are completely weaned, socialized, and ready to go at age 6 weeks.  Please plan ahead for this time frame.  For safety reasons, we hire house/dog-sitters when we must be away from home. Therefore, IF a puppy is required to stay past 6 weeks of age, the adoptive client will be charged a boarding fee of $50 per extra week, plus veterinary expenses incurred while your puppy boards with us.  Exceptions to the 6-week Rule:  If puppies are over 6 weeks old when you call to reserve yours, you will have 1 week to pick up your puppy before boarding fees begin.  If your puppy is flying home, or if you hire a Ground Transporter, Angela will work with transporters accordingly.

H E A L T H     G U A R A N T E E:  Our veterinarian examines your puppy thoroughly prior to adoption day.  You will be given documentation from that “well-puppy” visit.  To date, we have never had a puppy returned for health reasons.  You have 72 HOURS (including Adoption Day) to have your puppy examined by your veterinarian. IF your puppy is diagnosed with a heart, lung, liver or bone malfunction within the first 72 hours of adoption, you must bring the puppy back to us immediately.  Your puppy must be described in detail along with a clearly-stated diagnosis on your veterinarian's report.  If our veterinarian agrees with your veterinarian’s diagnosis, we will discuss a replacement puppy or a refund the adoption fee, minus the non-refundable $500 security deposit.  This health guarantee does not cover intestinal worms or parasites, mites, skin or eye-related conditions, or "outie" belly-buttons (umbilical hernia).  We will not refund veterinary, travel, or shipping expenses.  This health guarantee expires seventy-two (72) hours after Adoption.

I understand this ENTIRE Health Statement / Contract, and do hereby agree to all terms above.
